A custom boot fit is where a boot fitter takes multiple measurements and customer input to analyze which boot will be best for your foot and personal needs.
We are a full service boot shop with multiple Sidas and Masterfit certified boot fitters. Anything you need with your boots we have probably done before.
No appointment is needed!
It's simple. When you pair a footbed, either a Sidas drop in or a custom footbed made by one of our boot fitters with a boot purchased from either Alpine Haus location we will guarantee the comfort and performance of your boots.

There is no charge for stretching, grinding, and boot fitting aids or replacement of any defective parts. Non-warranty parts will be replaced at cost (no charge for labor). If you don't love your custom fit boots, we will make it right! These services are included through the end of the season you purchased them + 1 year.
Ideally, we need about an hour for one of our boot fitters to go through the whole process.
To properly fit a ski or snowboard boot we will need you to bring your ski socks, pants that can be pulled up past your knees, and your orthotic (if you have one).
Everyone has a different definition of how a boot should fit and that’s why our custom boot fit process helps ensure a comfortable fit. Our boot fitters take your input to help you find the perfect fit for you!
No two feet are the same. Our boot fitters go through countless hours of training each year to help ensure we make skiing more enjoyable. We stand behind our fits with our Boot Fit Guarantee.
Manufacturers will tell you a boot lasts about 150 days of skiing or riding before some of the materials will start to break down. There are a lot of factors that will affect the life of your boots including: how hard you are on your gear, how you store the boots, how long each of your sessions are.
Canting is where we take measurements determining what angles your legs come out of the boot. When we cant your boots we are looking to adjust for those angles so that your foot sits completely flat on the binding helping you engage both edges of the ski more efficiently.
We always advise drying off your boots and storing them inside the house in a closet. Don’t store them in the attic where there are large shifts in temperature and always keep them warm before you ski. If a boot is frozen cold when you put it on it will be difficult to get your foot in and now you are starting the day with cold feet. Keep them warm and away from hot temperatures in the off season.
With newer boots we can heat the shell or the liner to mold them to your foot. A heat mold will help loosen tight areas giving you a custom fit.
A custom footbed is where we take an impression of your foot and arch shape and mold a foot bed that supports your foot and arch giving you more performance and comfort.
